Processing Manager

Join our dedicated maintenance team at Nature Pure, a family-owned and operated organic egg farm. We're seeking a Processing Manager with 4+ years of experience in food processing, beverage, or manufacturing industries.
In this role, you'll oversee all aspects and key deliverables of 2 processing plants including but not limited to, the daily operations regarding orders, inventories, staffing, machines efficiency, scheduling, and time management of plant operations and egg processing.
The Processing Manager is responsible for leading and cultivating a positive team environment within the plant. You will help shape the future of agriculture by: effectively leading the activities at the site to deliver against the site level workload, developing staff, and incorporating leading capabilities and technologies in daily operations to generate the highest quality and most efficient manner. This role is responsible for ensuring that all employees adhere to all State and Federal regulations, including but not limited to; FDA, USDA, SQF and OSHA. You must be able to work independently and manage your time effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Promote a culture of safety, assuring that all staff works their job duties with safety being top priority and minimizing safety violations.
- Manage, develop, and improve Key Performance Indicators for plant efficiency.
- Supply the leadership required to motivate your employees to work as a team in meeting corporate and plant goals and objectives.
- Lead, direct, and develop plant staff to create a high-performing and engaged workforce.
- Lead the plant in initiating and executing plans and processes which minimize production costs through effective and efficient utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
- Run all customer orders with the highest quality and efficiency at the lowest possible cost.
- Manage, record, report, and reorder all egg, packaging, and supply inventories.
- Manage and improve plant supplies including but not limited to chemicals, labels, parts, PPE, etc.
- Create a good working environment in the plant that enhances employee performance and retention.
- Be responsible for the financial stewardship of the plant by developing a budget and implementing effective systems of control over the operating expenditures of the plant.
- Create, train, implement, and improve on operating processes and procedures.
- Establish group and individual accountabilities throughout plant for problem-solving and cost reduction.
- Maintain compliance with all FDA, DNR, EPA, USDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices and SQF Program as well as the SE Prevention, Animal Welfare, and Bio-Security Programs.
- Works closely with all other departments and create a culture of collaboration.
- The position will require occasional weekend and/or holiday work, as we are a 24/7 live operation.

- Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment — Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, pressure washers, and power jacks.

Qualifications:
Required:
- 4+ years’ leadership experience in the Food Processing, Beverage, or manufacturing industries.
- Proven leader and coach in high pace environment.
- HACCP &/OR SQF practitioner certified.
- Working knowledge of GMP’s within a food manufacturing facility.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Ohio Driver’s License.
- Ability to work occasional weekends or holidays, as needed for team and business objectives.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred (i.e. Food Science, Business, Industrial Management, Engineering, Operations, etc.) or commensurate experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Previous experience working in egg, poultry, or agriculture industry.
- Experience in process improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma.
- Knowledge of basic concepts, practices, and procedures in food manufacturing.
- Experience with safety/equipment.
