The Law Office of Philip A. King, LLC, an estate planning and probate law firm located at 2529 Oakstone Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43231, is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to join the practice. The Law Office of Philip A, King is a small law firm in growth mode and the right candidate will have an opportunity to grow along with the firm. This position reports to one or more of the attorneys at the firm.

Job Description:

  • Gathering information needed to prepare legal documents in Probate, Guardianship and Estate Planning matters.
  • Logging their activities and communications.
  • Drafting letters.
  • Recording matter information and organizing client files.
  • Calendaring (Scheduling) events.
  • Referring all matter questions from client and third-parties to attorney.
  • Communicating with client and third-parties under attorney’s direction.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Legal Assistant will have a high school diploma or GED.
  • A Legal Assistant must be competent in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • A Legal Assistant must be well organized. This person is usually 10 minutes early and cannot stand a cluttered workspace.
  • A Legal Assistant must also be very confident in communicating with others in a professional manner. This person is not someone who can be intimidated by others on the phone or afraid to call someone multiple times.
  • A Legal Assistant should have experience in a law firm. Experience in probate and/or estate planning matters will be given preference.
