ROLE DESCRIPTION
Join our team at the Nature Pure Feed Mill, a FAMILY FARM in Raymond, Ohio. Manufacture feed with our computer automation systems that you work with to receive ingredients, grind grains, and mix feed. Take care of housekeeping activities, maintenance and repair of equipment, and quality checks on feed and ingredients. Operate a forklift, skid steer, and boom lift. You must be able to lift 60 pounds and climb ladders and corn legs up to 135 feet. Knowledge of feed manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance preferred but we will train the right candidate. The Operator is responsible for compliance with all company policies, local, state, and federal policies, laws and regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Specific job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manufacture feed using computer automation systems
- Receive ingredients, grind grains, and mix feed
- Perform quality checks on feed and ingredients
- Operate a fork lift, skid steer and boom lift
- Climb ladders and corn legs up to 135 feet
- Comply with all company policies, including, quality assurance policies, standard operating procedures, current good manufacturing practices, and all local, state and federal laws, and regulations
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Perform other duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.
- Knowledge of feed manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance preferred, but will train the right candidate.
- Ability to lift 60 pounds
- Climb ladders and corn legs up to 135 feet
- Operate a forklift, skid steer and boom lift
- Work 50-60 hours per week during busy seasons
- High school degree, G.E.D, or equivalent experience
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$19.50/hour plus .50 increase after probationary period.
