Maintenance Technician – First Shift

Join our dedicated maintenance team at Nature Pure, a family-owned and operated organic egg farm. We're seeking a First-Shift Maintenance Technician with 2–5 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, structural, plumbing, and equipment maintenance and repair.
In this role, you'll support the upkeep of our feed mill, poultry houses, processing equipment, offices, vehicles, and grounds. Candidates must be comfortable working near animals and committed to humane, mindful care.
Responsibilities:
· Provide advanced maintenance and repairs across a wide range of systems and equipment
· Troubleshoot and maintain control panels, motors, and electrical systems
· Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, manuals, and assembly instructions
· Operate hand tools, power tools, and relevant machinery safely and effectively
· Follow all safety protocols and identify potential hazards
· Work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
· Complete maintenance tasks in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications
· Maintain documentation in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Required Skills & Experience:
· Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and welding
· Knowledge of PLCs, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and general fabrication
· Familiarity with conveyor systems, packaging machinery, pumps, gearboxes, and other agricultural equipment
· Experience with vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance
· Basic computer skills (email, file access, HMI navigation, and CMMS use)
· Valid Ohio driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in the food, poultry, or agriculture industry
· Understanding of food manufacturing practices and GMPs
· Feed mill maintenance experience
· Knowledge of safety systems (e.g., LOTO, PPE, hoists, harnesses, lanyards)
· HVAC troubleshooting and repair skills
· Welding and fabrication proficiency
